Colnago’s Extreme-C is a special carbon fibre frameset created in 2004 as a Tour De France prototype for Colnago sponsored Team Rabobank riders Erik Dekker, Michael Boogerd for the Tour De France mountain time trial up l’Alpe D’Huez.

Three years of the most demanding race testing has shown that Colnago’s Extreme-C is a masterpiece of technology. Three years of the most demanding race testing has shown that Colnago’s Extreme-C has superb strength and total versatility with a frame that weighs less than 1000 grams in a sloping medium size. Colnago’s Extreme-C was created for the toughest mountain climbs, the longest, hardest rides when the cyclist needs something extra. We have used the simplicity of round tubing in the Extreme-C, the best shape to provide the combination of light weight and torsional rigidity. Colnago created a stiffer rear triangle for the Extreme-C to increase the efficiency of power transmission, while the Extreme-C fork is Colnago’s all-new Carbon 75.
The Extreme-C bottom bracket has a easily removable CNC Titanium insert to facilitate maintenance.
For 2009,Colnago’s Extreme-C offers attractive new graphics that renders this most special frameset even more attractive.
