EXTREME POWER CARBON FIBRE
Colnago’s Extreme Power is certainly one of the most innovative bicycle in the Colnago range for 2009. Extreme Power was created to meet the stringent demands of sprinters like Alessandro Petacchi and Erik Zabel of Team Milram and three time World Champion Oscar Freire of Team Rabobank, all of whom all have an incredible power output of 180kg for each pedal stroke!

To transmit this power to the road, Colnago Extreme Power frames have a specially shaped conical oversize down tube and top tube tubing, coupled to an oversized 38mm diameter head tube and 44mm bottom bracket.

Inside the specially butted Extreme Power tube set are additional reinforcement; two unidirectional, high modulus carbon fiber longitudinal reinforcement ribs that are 10mm long and 0,8mm thick. These unique internal reinforcements provide 30% more resistance to torsional stress than in our previous framesets, while the 35mm diameter seat tube accommodates a 31.6mm oversize seat post. The Extreme Power bottom bracket has a easily removable CNC Titanium insert to facilitate maintenance. Extreme Power’s rear chain stays use Colnago’s distinctive Leaf shape and feature a new ovalized 17X35mm insert into the bottom bracket shell. For 2009, the Extreme Power has Colnago’s new Carbon 75 fork with 1”-1/8 diameter steerer tube.

Colnago has exciting, all new graphics for 2009 that gives Extreme Power a great, dynamic look. Available in 14 traditional sizes from 52 c\t to 65 c\t , plus 8 sloping sizes for 2009, Extreme Power can also be made in personalized custom sizes through your Colnago Authorized dealer.
